15 Years in Global Sourcing & Procurement: Understand the Business Logic and Complex Systems
Before transitioning into retail management, I spent nearly 15 years navigating production procurement and supply chain management across Taiwan, the U.S., and Mainland China. This cross-cultural career path has honed my sharp business acumen, allowing me to deeply understand the complex systems and high-pressure metrics of global competition. I don’t just talk about 'people'—I understand the language of business. To me, leadership is never disconnected from commercial reality; every coaching and facilitation I lead is ultimately grounded in achieving business objectives and enhancing organizational efficiency.
Middle age with new Journey: From Ground Zero to Leading a 4,000 sqm Operation
Driven by a deep curiosity about organizational change and the human development topics, I made a bold choice: to start from zero in the retail industry. Over the next eight years, I rose from an entry-level associate to a Store Manager, leading a team of 60 and overseeing a 4,000-square-meter operation.
This journey put me on the front lines of leadership, where I faced the raw pressures of the field—the tension between metrics and human dynamics, and the painful gap between strategy and execution. Having lived through the 'middle manager squeeze' and the exhaustion of being a constant output source, I learned how to find stability amidst chaos. These authentic experiences are precisely why I am dedicated to walking alongside leaders today.
